Any BC coilover owners in the North West?

Post  Tone Loc on Thu Aug 26, 2010 3:30 am

Think i've decided to go with BCs (there is GB coming up soon again for £500 so anybody thinking about them look out on SN), but i'm not sure what spring rates to go for. Anybody localish with BCs that wouldn't mind giving me a ride (i'm Manchester area)?

Also anybody outside the NW what are your spring rates and why did you choose them? My car will be purely fast road, so the 8/8 kit doesn't sound ideal but then the 6/8 kit i'm finding hard to go with as my brain is having trouble coming to terms with a harder spring rate on the rear. I believe for track work thats the way to go but as i said mine is purely road driven and i want the car to be almost stock like while doing the boring commute.

Also anybody know what spring rates the powerstation/litchfield type 20 ASTs come with?

Cheers,

Tony.

Hi Tony,

I've got the BC's fitted to my hatch, I opted for the 6/8kg spring rates. It is a very firm ride indeed but handles like shit to a blanket Laughing

depends on how you want the car to behave on the road really, I tend to got alot on the country lanes quite quickly so they suite me down to the ground. If you ever north up to cumbria than I'd happilly take you out for a spin in mine Cool

Cheers Rob, the 6/8 kit seems to be the more favoured kit. Good to hear yours is performing well.

I should be having a bit of mapping done soon, around Preston/Chlorley so getting closer to Cumbria.... if i get a bit closer a PAX ride would be most appreciated.

Tony.
