I thought I read on scoobynet that some folk had their ipod connected?
What about connecting via bluetooth - is that an option?

There were 2 of us trying it with both types of head unit. We both failed.

Rip the factory head unit out, use as paper weight / throw in bin. Get a decent aftermarket unit!

OK - in my last car I had a DDX5022 fitted
But, that just looked aftermarket
Black thing surrounded by silver, the 330S navi unit at least blends in and has Blue tooth.

See this

The part numbers must be universal.
For example the bluetooth mic is the same number on the US, EU & UK accessories brochure
The part number this refers to is H621SFG700 and is on the US & EU brochure, but not on the UK brochure?
And the 330S is an EU car - so surely that means yes its available?

Can you shed any light on my findings with regards to swapping the jacks with a combined jacks & usb port?
Thanks,
Shaun

I have fitted the Ipod dock to the new legacy & it works very well indeed, I would assume the usb jack/aux socket will come with all the cabling required and should just plug straight into the rear of your nav unit & will be picked up by the headunit without any issues.
I could ask my mate in the states if he'll pop down to his dealer and have a look at a kit like he did last time for me and I could tell you better from there.

Gentleman Rob - thank you.
Don't suppose your mate would be able to supply said bit?

I can't really see any reason why it shouldn't work - can you?
Especially as those instructions talk about removal of the jacks socket and replacing with the combined USB/jack
I guess I'll just wait and see what your mate says about the part
