Headlight washers & blanks....

Both my STi and the 330S have blanks on the front bumper where other Hatch models have the headlamp washers. Also no switch in the cab for headlamp washers.

BUT washing / cleaning and sealing the car ( Jeff's Werkstat prime acrylic and Jett sealant are super! ) I picked at the cover to clear polish from under the edges and it lifted up an inch or more!!!!

There are several gubbins attached to the cover ( which hold it down to the bumper ) and it does look just like all the bits bar the jet for headlamp washers.

SO what would I need to activate the headlamp washers? Just the jets and the mounting plate, and/or a switch ( not sure how the headlamp washers are activated - seperately or with windscreen washers? - the parts did seems wet though and was washed yesterday!!! )


Any thoughts?

Think you will find that you do have them, they pop up when headlights are on and you activate the screen washers, think its law nthat any car with xenons has to have headlight washers.

when your headlamps are active and you spray water onto the window screen it automatically activates the headlamp washers. I find them very annoying in winter as it drains the bloody tank faster than i can fill it lol

Tried it tonight, yes the headlight washers pop up, squirt, and pop down again!

Never knew that!!!!


Only problem, loads of foamy water now over the cleaned bonnet and bumper! Had to hose and dry it off!!!
