M3 gone.... replaced by the hatch.

After 3 Imprezas (from 2000-2008) i decided to sample some M Power, last weekend tho i decided that now the M3 had 70k on the clock and some potentially seriously expensive bills if things such as the SMG failed that i should move on. So what to get.... ended up looking at a hatch STi even tho 'd really never been a great fan of them. Ended up buying it and here she is (as seen on Scoobynet and 22B already )

Spec includes the 18"s, heated seats, privacy glass and Magnaflow exhaust.











Is it better than the M3, short answer NO. Is it more fun, i think so.

First question is the exhaust trims... i'm not a great fan at all. Do i remove and just use some screws to hide the holes? If i take them off is there a market for used ones??

Next question... suspension. Springs wise i was thinking Prodrive or Eibach, think Eibach seem more appealing to get that little bit lower (looking for 25mm drop). Or if i go coilovers maybe BC or ASTs??

Last question... do need need a certain amount of posts before you can send PMs??

just paint exhaust trims black & leave them on

ive got bc coilovers on mine they work well with all the whiteline stuff ive fitted plenty of ajustment will them car sits nice , had eibach springs on b4 these it also sat nice with them

thinking of changeing my exhaust got revoltions system on now but it prototype for system they do now & one end twisted down abit & back qtr of an ins on same side ,its nowt but starting to bug me now so dont no weather to get new revolution system or try something else

Cheers Sparkey. Thought about painting them matte black, i'll take them off and see what kind of a mess is left behind.

How are the BC in terms of comfort... a lot of the time the car will be used back and to from work so don't want a roller skate ride. Something that can be set nice and compliant would be nice. I did have Leda coilovers on my two old classics and on the softest setting them were better than the sti shocks and springs!! My old hawkeye had Prodrive springs and the ride was superb, just need to be a tad lower.

Anybody have a parrot bluetooth kit installed?

bc,s r 32 way ajustable on rebound so u can set them as hard or as soft as u like

i use mine as family car if we go anywhere & r lass or youngen never complain about ride & handles well

How did you rate the Eibach's? Don't suppose you kept hold of them and want rid now?

No worries. I am more and more tempted by the BCs tho, or if i go all out maybe the full type 20 package.

bc is a good bit of kit worth the money
