What a pain to do!! You need very thin arms!

Access is via the wheel arches, The drivers side isn't too bad to do, but the passenger side is a nightmare due to the washer bottle being in the way. My first LED bulb actually fell into the headlight because I hadn't pushed it in to the clip securely enough!


Before, the old yellow lights...



And now, the new super bright LED sidelight..



Can't really tell by the photos but they make a brilliant improvement!

I might also de-tango the lights now ??????

Well worth the effort, IIRC the indicators are even harder as you need to get some force on the twist.

Did mine within about an hour of getting it, can't stand yellow sidelights and orange bulbs!

I cannot see the right hand side of my pic above, anyone know what I need to do to view the whole pic, assume its a setting somewhere but cannot find anything for pics in my profile.

I can see it. But I do have that problem a lot. I think the max width of a photo is only 800 pixels.

I agree, led sidelights and de-tango are the future!

Hows about a step by step guide?

Turn wheel into arch

Remove arch liner screws

Pull back inner arch so you can gain access

Shove your arm in and locate indicator or side light

Twist to remove

Swap old for new

Put back in reverse

You need slim arms and little fingers, oh and not mind a bit of grazing to you forearm!

That's about it!

The light bulb holder is on a bit of a stalk so you can reach it and twist it out.

OKay that all sounds great... so where does one buy such led bulbs ?

And i hear some are white and some blue white - which brand is whitest ?


Lastly I hate the yellow'ish fog lamp bulbs just as much - any one fixed them ?

Led's can be had from eBay for a few quid, colour is upto you but I have the white in mine as the blue can look a little boy racer.

Fogs, I have the same problem as I hate the dull light compared to the headlights, problem is white light is no good in fog and just gets reflected which is why they are the colour they are, proper yellow works well which is an idea I have been toying with.

Yellow! Sounds like a plan!

Is there some code no or a recommended seller ?

Which ones are the super white ones ?

PS I know Litchfield do an a film covered version of the fog spot, maybe exchange or maybe wait for fit ?

I bought a pack of ten, I always use them and it works out pretty cheap that way.

I was thinking of covering the stock fog light lenses with some translucent yellow film? I reckon the whole blueish HIDs, yellow fogs look would be quite sweet...

That has been on my job list for about a year now just not got round to doing it as it's a little hassle getting my lower zun grille off to ge to the fogs. Laminx are your guys for the film though.

ABZ: cant you remove the fog light surrounds without the zunsport grille removed?

i can with mine, thats how i fitted my fog light films

From my initial look the light surrounds taper back and it would have been a bit tight to remove with the grille in place, I'll have another look thogh when I can be bothered and its warm!! Other idea was to remove the lights from the rear but then I have to muck around with the under engine cover for access.

May have a set of yellows from you then when I get round to it, Oh and the Mrs may want some more vinyl cut as she was very happy with the last bit you did her, Cheers

remove your bumper vents and you have tonnes of room to work
