330S Drivers Seat

Guys

Do any of you have a squeaking type noise with the drivers seat when changing direction?

Yes very much so........ drives me nuts and happens on the slightest direction change too

btw... anyone know if there's a car seat cover that fit the 330s Recaros?

I have the part numbers for those now and know were stock is located. & also know the possibility of two euro imports coming in to be stripped

I found by adjusting the seat to its highest position with the pull lever on the side & then backing it down with one press downwards stopped it for a while.
Nothing else tho

Rob would that come under interior warranty repair work?

Yes if I recall there's a bulletin at work about fitting a new base and rail assy to the recaro's under warranty, I'll check at work tomorrow

Once again, an invaluable source of information

I have infront of me a service bulletin regarding the recaro seats, I'll post it up later when I get access to my laptop and not using my phone.

Rob you are a star m8, honestly

Basically the problem with the recaros, was excessive movement in the base causing the noise that you seem to be experiencing, Subaru are aware of this issue and distributed this bulletin to the dealer network & for those within the effected vin range they produced a new seat base which was later introduced on the production line.

Nice one, mine has been in to the dealer twice for this to be sorted, a squeek if move bum or when cornering - I guess as seat moves excessively.

Their fix was to tighten up some bolts on subframe, and / or use WD40!

I WD40'd it myself since and it goes away for a while...

Seems to be seat mount by the inner seat belt mount.


I couldn't see the VIN number range .. was the number on the last pic the end of the range?
Mine is an Aug 2009 delivered car so may be June, July etc. built?

Sadly Subaru don't have any stock and they have it on backorder.
Presumably this comes from Japan too

Empty passenger seat bounces around and rattles loads!!!

Actually - dealer rang me yesterday, they've got the base.

In my case its only the drivers seat making the noise
I'm booked in for Wednesday, so will report back then if I have silence or not
