AA Silencers of Stafordshire

Any one used AASilencers of staffordshire?

They do bespoke exhaust systems ( say they make cobra and Janspeed systems and supply Ashley exhausts ).

As I have mentioned before, the H&S 3" system ( sports cat and centre resonator ) is too loud and draws too much attention, puts me off using the power as it is too boy-racer ish and looks like I wanna race!!!
Especially with the racerom auto blip on downshift etc.

So talked to these guys. They are going to make me a quieter box or something without sacrificing the super gas flow of the H&S.
Going down to look / measure up on Monday, get something fitted later on.

Making me an 8" x 4" silencer a litle longer than the current resonator pipe to replace the resonator in the middle ... resonator is 4" overall diameter on a 3" pipe.. so only 1/2 all round the exhaust pipe, not likely to do much sound reduction ( except maybe remove some high frequency noise ).

So now getting the box fitted Tuesday, will be no loss of flow and should be quieter and not get so much attention when ever the accelerator is gently pressed!

Well, couple of hours work down in Staffordshire, the box they made has been welded into the H&S system in place of the resonator pipe some where near the gearbox.

No loss of ride height nor contact with the floor, and misses the local speed bumps!

On the motorway back it was sedate with a burble and a growl on throttle, and in town didn't scare old ladies or draw attention like a boy racer!

So a success.

And, of course, it was designed so as to not affect the gas flow in the 3" pipe.
