front splitters

still not too sure on which one to go for.
what have you guys got and how much/how easy to fit?

well, got round to calling on ht autos today to pick up a front lip splitter.
hoping to fit this week so will post pics.......

I got my splitter from the usa, its a polyurethane one thats quite flexible incase of any nastys lol

Same as rob, ebay usa and really pleased with it, flexable and forgiving and about 120 delivered.

Just had my HT Autos front splitter delivered. Anyone have any fitting tips? Will post pics when done

If anything like mine it will fit by using push-in clips that utilise the undertray mounting points nad some self tappers.

Fit using clips first so all lined up and then drill pilot holes for the self tappers, simple job.

My self tappers have come loose a few times and no longer tighten up so have replaced with some 8mm bolts and nylock nuts which has done the trick.

I've just fitted mine

Two bolts up front 1st, then replace the oem screw in the inner wheel arch with a self tapper, then self tap all around the rest..

any pics?

Not as "sharp" or "aggressive" as I expected, but neat and squares up the front nicely.
I'm contemplating carbon wrapping it at some point.

Can you get these for a WRX front bumper does anyone know? I know SUbaru are doing it on the WRXS, but quoted over £400 for the part!

No idea sorry, I've not seen anyone advertise one for the WRXs,

make the front look alot better even though its not over aggressive.
how is the fit, and how long did it take?

Took me about 10 minutes Carlos

The fit's pretty good, important to get the front 2 bolts located and centered 1st, that defines the front profile curve..then it's just a case of fixing the ends in place and then self tappers to rigidify it.

Drive the front up onto something though... it's fiddly as hell getting the front nylock bolts done up!

I did ask HTA if they were going to produce them for the WRX. Basically they need 100 buyers to make it worth the work.

So its either £350 from ther strealers or inport for about the same, or you can wait.

I haven't decided which option I'm taking yet.

My STI one came from the states and was about £120 with shipping, have a good search on the bay as postage really variers between suppliers, and keep looking as there are some on there some days and not others.

May be worth emailing them also to see if they can do you a deal sending 2 at the same time, even to different addresses.

Worth a try.
