    had car few months now, and as it was pissing it down the other night, i had bit of fun in an empty car park. tried playing about with the c-diff but well didnt know wtf i was doing with it.

    i believe im right in saying the bigger bars mean its rear biased, and "lock" will basically make it RWD?

    whats the (-) and (+) all about when its in auto?

    ive tried looking for a post on several forums but no joy. any ideas

    All bars and lock means its all wheel drive and the center diff is locked. the less number of bars means more rear bias so you will have more drive going to the rear than the front.

    Playing around I discovered 2 bars means you can get the rear to step out nicely but just have enough drive to the front to drag it along so it doesnt get out of shape.

    Now however if you pull the handbrake on so the light comes on the dash its 100% drive to the rear as it opens the diff right up.

    haha told you i had no idea wtf i was doing. right i'll remembr that for the next rainy day.

    any suggestion as to what the (-) and (+) does?

    the (-) means less drive to the front (+) means more drive to the front if i recall

    To give an idea of the options that can be quickly selected the Japanese brochure suggests the following settings:

    • Normal driving: SI-Drive (SPORT) + Multi-mode DCCD (AUTO) + Multi-mode VDC (NORMAL)
    • Fast/Circuit driving: SI-Drive (SPORT #) + Multi-mode DCCD (AUTO -) + Multi-mode VDC (TRACTION)
    • Race/Motosports: SI-Drive (SPORT #) + Multi-mode DCCD (MANUAL) + Multi-mode VDC (OFF)
    • Snow: SI-Drive (SPORT or INTELLIGENT) + Multi-mode DCCD (AUTO +) + Multi-mode VDC (NORMAL)
