sounds daft but you havnt disturbed any electrical connectors down there have you while the battery was connected ??
if you have it means the steering roll connector will need reset to neutral positioning via a subaru dealer

basically you have to set the neutral posistion on the steering because there are two settings for the yaw sensor & lateral g sensor all linked through the vdc system.

Am I correct in saying that if the battery had been disconected before the job was done I wouldn't have had the problem??
