Hi guys just thought I would sign up to the future of subaru forums

Some of you might know me from Cumbrian and tts and scoobynet forums
as I've been on the scene for nearly ten years now I got my my00
greenwagon in 2000 brand new , have put 56k miles on it and is now my weekend
car last June after a few weeks of delibration after looking at 330s and import. Sti
I decided I could not part with my greenwagon and decided to exchange my
everyday octavia l&k diesel for the wrxd and have 2 scoobys
I ordered a wr blue hatch and had gold 18 gt1 wheels and black tints
and a black graphic put along the bottom door with WRXD graphics and of
course my NBO grapics !!!
Stan palmer at Carlisle supplied it 9 years after my last one .
Great garage and many of the staff are still there which is a great sign
my wrxd has now covered 8 k miles and is loosening up gradually especially in
the last 1000 miles fuel economy is 42.9 since I got it so slightly dissapointed
with that after 55mpg over 6 years with the skoda
first and second are sluggish but third is a flyer on my favourite road section I can hit 92 with the classic 96 ish from a 2 nd gear start so very little differerence in real every day speeds
I haven't christoned it on a full Subaru run out with the clubs so will be interesting
to see how it compares to others. Running the classic the wrxd and the 350z the other car in my fleet
there is virtually no difference in speed 30 -90 in mid range power so really pleased with that
brakes are ok although suspension is too soft for my likeing as my classic had lowered eibachs and droplinks , bushes etc so will get the suspension sorted this year there is also a sports muffler at £400 which if I can hear on a car might tempt me as well
I love the look of the car and it is a lot easier to live with over the classic and better on motorways
cruise control and heated seats are great and radio controls on the steering wheel
so glad I kept the classic and got the wrxd but ....I saving up hard for the yellow spec -c
to add to the fleet

I'd be interested to get you to drive mine, I've had the first service and 2nd seems to have more grunt now, but is deffinatly low geared.

And just to really upset you!!!

[i] omg best I've ever seen on a long boring drive is 47 mpg guess must have the same problem.
