there's more to it than oil in the intake, I have a couple of my own theorys on this.

tight piston to bore clearances make expansion very limited for the piston, so while the engine is being given a good kicking the piston has expanded as far as the bore will let it so it starts to scuff and cause the breakage of the top ringland.

and the other is down to afr's being to lean when switching to open loop mode

When Andy mapped yours Rob did he mention any changes with CL/OL transition tables. Do you think the OL transition is happening too late?

Honestly Cant remember what he said when we mapped the car, I can see mine switch on my Scangauge ecu monitor and to me the turbo is spooling pretty hard at 2200rpm but doesnt switch to O/L until 2750rpm so really if that was std it would be a little late in my eyes. I know andy altered the C/L to fuel up prior to switch on mine so its no great issue.

I wouldn't know where to start.... 13 or so tables
