Cool Cool Always fancied having the Scoop on ours done Black (rather than the yellow/white )
Does look good with the black grill and side ducts
Just needs some Black GT1s , An STi splitter and some JDM Mirrors Smile

    thanks for replies
I just had 4 new alloys fitted under warranty from Subaru, may get them powder coated anthracite or similar, as I quite like the style of them
i've been looking at the front lip splitters, probably do it black the same as the grills
Rear windows will be tinted a bit later in the year
I may photoshop the wing mirrors in the same black to see if I like them done first, if not , I'm happy as they are

Its all personal choice though, everybody has different opinions on what looks good and what doesn't !!

    Looking good !!

It always amuses me how when a car comes with black plastic bits (wing mirrors, side vents etc) people want them colour coded, and when they come colour coded, people want them in black !! Laughing

    Long live personalising cars Smile

Because the lower grill and wing mirror surrounds are already black and not the bleached black/grey look, I wanted to the top grill, bonnet scoop and side vents to all match.
I uses plasti-dip, which is plastic in a spray can.
Side vents have 2 clips top and bottom which you access from inside the wheel arch liner, you then just pull the vent back towards the wheel and they slide out of the retaining clips.
Bonnet scoop is removed by taking out the heat shield from the under side of the bonnet, there are 8 x 8mm nuts to be removed, there are also 2 white plastic clips which you pinch the lugs together to release, and the scoop just lifts upwards.
Front grill I removed without taking off the bumper, 4 clips along the top, then accessed the 4 screws that are along the bottom of the grill via the lower grill openings, I used a small mirror and a stubby phillips screwdriver, there are 2 flexible guide lugs that just pull out as the grill comes out.
Good wash and dry ,no primer and a light sand with a foam sanding block then 3 coats of plast-dip.
I did the side vents 3 weeks ago, no chipping or flaking
The finish is the same as the original lower grill
