Just curious really, I see IHI written on the compressor housing but thats about it.

mine hit 380 without any hassle so its quite a good turbo, just prone to cracking in the exhaust housing

Hey guys is the VF 48 sleeve bearing ? Someone 'thought' they were roller bearing ?

Thanks for that Rob, I was hoping you'd say that.
So any decent ball bearing turbo will easily outspool the vf48.
Martyn at Enginetuner said that the sc46 on JaySti's car was reaching full boost on the road at 3100k revs.
A good improvement over the standard setup and with 450bhp to boot.
Also been reading up on intake silicon hoses... apparently the Perrin version is the daddy of all due to the steel coils within it preventing any distortion and 'sucking in' at high power. Many other cheaper pipes have issues...
Perrin say that their intake will give up to 250rpm earlier spool and an increase in bhp and torque of up to 10 of each... sounds promising.
Something else to put on the list...

A genuine 350/350 should be the safe limit on the hyperneuticrap pistons.... otherwise expect tears

Looking for parts for now and the future.
At the moment it IS as std Subaru Sti motor... getting an Andy F remap shortly with sport decat 3" going to std PPP exhaust box, AEM CAIK , but for later the headers and the intake hose for best eficiency.
