alarm going off for no reason

has any one else had this problem alarm goes off for for no reason!!!!!!!

when i go out & turn ingition on & count how many times red light flashes its 16 which book says is ultra senors in car all windows & air vents etc are closed & nowt hanging or moveing around

looks like another trip to dealer to get it sorted

There was an issue with the alarm along the lines of tracker aeriel position behind the stereo causing interference / setting off the alarm
I kept getting texts saying the alarm was going off !
Took it to Palmers and they did it as a recall / warranty
Robs had the same problem

sure i mentioned it to you at the weekend m8, tracker needs the bonding broken off and the tracker module remounted in a different place so it doesnt interfere. its down to the gsm signal that the tracker sends out making it false detect on the ultra sonics

i now i think about it rob u did say on saturday but what with suspenion issues going on i for got you said bud,the dam thing must of went off 15 times on sunday , another phone call to service & get it booked in

booked in nx tuesday at stan palmers to get sorted

car was in y,day for alarm faults & now sorted just as rob & ghplumb posted tracker alarm together & was setting alram off they move antenna or something so should be ok warranty work

I think I have the same problem. Is there a TSB# for this fault? Because when I explained the problem and the solution to my dealer, I felt I would be better off asking my cat to have a go at fixing it. If anyone has anymore info that could help it would be much appreciated.

Think I allready mentioned the fault

like rob says bud get the tracker & alarm seperated & this sorts problem out

Just got my car back from Subaru for replacement ultrasonics, as they thought that this was the fault, and they noticed the tracker module was fitted close to the alarm module which could be interfering with the unit.

Now moved by them so hopefully will have cured my spurious alarm annunciation, especially at 2 in the morning.

My 2008 STi had this same problem, I was gonna isolate the sensor causing the alarm from the alarm panel .... but it got stolen with keys ( house break in ) so problem solved!

New 330S ... been fine!
Ohh yeah, Dealer installed Clifford BlackJax too ... and garage now has an alarm!

Saw this thread title couple of days ago and ignored it as my alarm is OK. Yes it has gone off maybe twice in 30 months but not for about a year now.

That evening it went off twice in the garage - no car windows open etc etc. ???
Told wife about the thread and ignoring it - caused some amusement

Is that likely to be the same fault - why doesn't it happen frequently ?

Since then (so far) its OK again ......

ours went off 5 - 6 times in one afternoon - evening due to the car not being started for over a week !!!
