Battery changed, alarm going nuts.

Just came back from being away for a month, went to open the car...nothing, use the key to get in, push the start button and ...nothing. Called my girlfriend who was supposed to be keeping it running hwile i was away, oops she forgot. So i have a dead battery. Tried to jump it but no joy (alarm going mental) bought a new battery thinking change it out hook it up, alarm will go nuts then get in car push the open close button on fob and that will disarm the alarm and imobiliser. Battery goes in, hooked it up, get in the car try to disarm the alarm and it wont go off, try a few more times and its still going mental. disconnected battery again.

Has anyone changed the battery out on their car and know what needs to be done to disarm the alarm and imobiliser when the new battery is in????

Its a 330s so has the push start keyless entry and go...

Mine went flat during the cold spell - Subaru assist guy jump started it
Dealer changed the battery under warranty - didn't have to do anything though.
Old battery out, new one it - simple as that from what I witnessed

Thats what i was hoping would happen but the alarm wont switch off. Do you know how many digits the imobiliser code is on the hatch? away working just now so have a mate trying to fix it. when you type imobiliser code in do you need door closed.

4 digits long usually, Subaru provide this on a silver sticker when the vehicle is new

cool found that sticker, tried typing it in but still getting deafened by the alarm, it wont shut down. Do i need to do anything before, during or after typing the code in to get it to turn off?

Have you owned the car from new?
if not, perhaps the previous owner changed the code
