All depends what you want out of it, if its to just replace what you have at the moment, look nice but still be quite maybe a secondhand ppp box, if new and quite with good power gains then perhaps a milltek,I think you will fine that many of the others out there may be a little lound for your 3 am start!

Alterntively, have you tried adjusting yours to get a better fit, im sure the lower one can be raised up very easily.

hay you got a link for them vids dude.

got the H & S twin cat back, and its not loud enough (as i could hardly hear mine at the scooby meet today with all them decats haha) can get hands on the replacement silencer bit, not sure how much thats gonna improve it tho?

dont wanna get a full 3" pipe with sports cat, cos that needs a remap, and that will prob lead to a blown set of pistons. will have to stick to 2.5" just now

but a link to somit sounding sweet could prob force me to play a higher hand Razz

Hi All, to revive his thread I am interested in knowing if you have one of the following cat-back exhausts, I have Mar 2010 STI with PPP and would like a bit more of the flat four burble without the need for a re-map...

    • £515 ex. VAT, Cobra: http://www.cobrasport.com

    • £590 ex. VAT, Hayward and Scott: http://www.haywardandscott.com

    • £475 ex. VAT, Magnaflow: http://www.magnaflow.com

    • £827 ex. VAT, Milltek: http://www.millteksport.com

The later seems quite expensive, I have seen some good posts on the Cobra and Hayward and Scott... My last car (BMW - don't ask!) was quite loud at 105Db so I am not too worried if is loud...

    Thanks in advance, Peter

    Peter

This is the one i have, it is quite loud compared to the PPP ones i've heard (which i why i keep considering swapping for a PPP as i'm getting old Wink ). Looks good and seems to perform well, my standard car apart from the Magnaflow got 330bhp and 340 b/ft at a recent rolling road day.

I'll try to get some videos up of the sound when the snow clears.

    Tony.

i had the magnaflow cat back on mine until the engine blew and Subaru tried to void my warranty for the exhaust being fitted so removed it and refitted the PPP

the noise was perfect, had the flat 4 noise, pops, crackles and bangs on full chat and gear change!!!

speak with Pete up at ExhaustUK, Sheffield, they are working with Subaru UK to do a exhaust system that will be sold through the dealer network.

No, but i plan to get one if i keep the hatch after the waranty runs out

when i was going to get one originally it was around £1500, now half that

Salsa: interesting, would be nice if it made the burble louder and its warranty safe

Well not really too bothered - unless you know different - I only saw one post on here talking about problems with Subaru on that front. On my last car (BMW!) I put new back boxes on and put it in for a service at a Franchise dealer and they said nothing... Anyone else have concerns on the group? Thanks, Peter
