Center decat

Hi all

I've had my STI Hatch for 2 years in March. I currently have an Haywood and Scott Afterburner back bx and center pipe fitted.

Has anyone fitted a decat center (leaving the downpipe and up pipe cats in place)
Does this require a remap? and does it make any difference to exhaust volume?

fitted a full decat to my hatch, it did have a couple of boost spikes and did hit fuel cut. but if your leaving the downpipe cat alone you should be fine

Won't make a big difference/not worth just de-cating the centre section I reckon mate, you might as well go for a full turbo back system, upgraded air filter/intake & a re-map I reckon. If you have the cash a high flow/sports cat downpipe would be nice

I've been told there is no cat in the up-pipe on the 08 STI

I got the same 'very occasional' fuel cut problems with full de-cat mate (the mapper has tried twice to cure but it keeps happening), have you cured it?

I'm going to try a different mapper to see if he can sort it...but would be very interested to know if you got it sorted
