Plenty happened with the car in last 6 months!

Rolling road day in Deeside, car showed 358 bhp / 384 lbft on the rollers, not a million miles off Andy F's road dyno estimate after mapping.

A visit to Demon Tweeks got a load of whiteline gear fitted, although there was a problem after with steering feel.

The feel issue sems to have been addresed by a Subaru service bulletin regarding preload of the rack if the UJ is undone / removed ... due to the order of tightening up the bolts leading to pre load on the rack ... tighten bolt B first.... found this out when Silverstone Autosport at Deeside were looking at the problem for me.

Fitted 22mm adjustable rear a/r bar with braces and adjustable ball joint drop links last week, and front adjustable drop links to std a/r front bar with PU chassis mounts.
Drives flatter now and a bit less understeer.

A couple of cosmetic items ... some SMD bulbs after seeing Salsa-King's post. Fiddly job, one didn't work at first as I fitted it the wrong way around, but corrected that and all was fine!

Fitted 9 LED in red for fog lamp in the clear Jap lens.
Nice and red and bright, the paint on the std bulb had started to burn off!

The brakes felt wooden and poor stopping power despite 12000 miles use... so looking on here and talking to a couple of people, went for new brak discs and pads.
OEM disks had a 1mm lip on them showing the wear, pads were about 1/2 worn.

So got a set of 2 piece discs from Godspeed, and the new EBD Blueatuff NDX race pads - have good cold bite too.
Fitted easily, and although still bedding in the pads do seem to work rather well, especially from cold, and no worries with faster / harder stops!

Fitted the Cosworth CS400 rear waist spoiler today.

I have been on the hunt for some big brakes but no deals out there at the moment. Think i will give the grooved disks a try. Still got a set of Mintex pads i bought last year so will drop them in and see how they go.

Never really liked the Hatch's brakes TBH i find them noisey, rough and a little bit risky when the car is cold

Is it worth changing the hoses while i am at it ?

the feel to the pedal, along with some 5.1 brake fluid is bang!!!

He has said that braided hoses on this car and at this age is not going to offer too much benefit. Pedal will be firmer with braided hoses and 5.1 but i think i will try without first.
