What's the favoured pad then for the Sti?

My brakes feel dead even when pressing fast and hard ... poor stopping performance. Think pad material may be shot?
12000 miles old, been like this for a couple of months ( almost like no servo, but there is a difference in effort needed when engine off / used up the servo vacuum so may not be that)

Pagid - Dusty? Expensive?
EBC range - mixed feelings, old range were not brilliant, new range sound better?
Mintex - I used to use 1144 or 1155 on previous scoobies
Fedodo - used 2500 on previous scoobies.
Performance Friction - ?? Expensive?

How do OEM compare to the above?

I need good cold bite and feel, prefer not too dusty ( less dusty than OEM pads! ).

found some pics of the AP brakes I was unable to fit to the Hatch due to the rear setup being completely different

Rob, does the STI have wear indicator sensors? just concerned if they should as I would have expected the dash to show something if the pads are as bad as they feel!!!

Mark, did you fit these?

MOT guy mentioned yesterday pads were low and for they sake of £150 I may as well change the lot?? Will measure the discs though to see how think they are if I can fine my micrometer!

yup all fitted and seem to be ok, just wish i did the hoses at the same time!!!


very noisy when breaking hard which is due to the grooves i beleive!!!

they bit extremely well!! just resting on the pedal the car comes to a halt, not AP standards but a decent replacement for the money!!!

ok, peace of mind as I assume they are not metal hoses as standard

not keen on the kevlar pads sent with the Godspeed discs as they squeal like fook under normal braking and found out that there is a 30% discount code

Are they selling single pairs of pads, or did you buy 2 sets !!!

ive just got some pagid pads from there £29+vat different part number to that ! but at either price u cant knock it only need 1 set 4 pads in set

i was just using the link from Robs, what ones (part number u using)

the one they give me where on part number 101800108 so i called today to question that id got right one & they then give me 101660318 they didnt say y just cost another £14 dont no if someone uck up or what

so that was lucky I posted up when I did then

pagid discs & pads fitted today all in £200mark u cant knock that subaru stuff nearer £700

Just looked online at ECP pads and they quoted part number 101800108 and even when I called quoted the same number, did not even know what Robs number referred too, bloody useless people!!

Anyway just a heads up for anyone who may buy from ECP use part number 101660318 and ignore what ECP tell you.

Delivered + now fitted to MY09 330s
Only difference from OEM is the wear strips are not present..

Subaru Garage wanted £280+vat to supply + fit pads....
